Dec. 12: Early Eyes Ft. Stone Arch Isles and Sleeping Jesus
Join us for our last Commune Wednesday’s concert featuring Sleeping Jesus, Stone Arch Isles, and our headliner, Early Eyes. You don’t want to miss out on our last concert of the year! Join us at St. Paul’s Turf Club at 7pm.
Kicking off the show will be Sleeping Jesus, a local band based out of Winona, MN. The band started out as a one-man band by founder, Nick Elstad, in 2016 and has since grown to a five member ensemble. The band has produced two EP’s over the past couple years (Perennial and House Plants) and a new single that dropped this year. They are a sunny indie pop band whose dreamy guitar melodies will have you feeling like you’re blissfully lying on the white sands of a Hawaiian beach without a care in the world. Listen to “Cigarette Skies” and “California at Dawn” if you want to induce major tropical vacation vibes to escape the snowy Minnesota winter.
Next up we'll have Stone Arch Isles, a band we are lucky to have gracing our stage once again. Since their beginnings in 2016, the six-member indie band have come a long way from their humble beginnings performing small, acoustic shows in Minneapolis to touring and headlining shows all across the Midwest. Their emotional ballads touch on heavy topics of love, loss, and life featuring sweet-sounding guitar strums accompanied by harmonious vocals and meaningful percussion. They are heavily influenced and share similar sounds with Local Natives, Young the Giant, and Catfish and the Bottlemen.
Headlining our concert and ending the night with a bang will be the indie-pop sensation, Early Eyes. What started as a pop-up show for fun on a Minneapolis college campus back in 2016 has now turned into a stellar musical career with popular EP’s and hit singles to show for. They were recognized in 2017 as the Best new Bands from City Pages, Minneapolis. Their single “Coffee” was also awarded top music video. Their soulful, catchy guitar tunes are reminiscent of Two Door Cinema Club, Tokyo Police Club, and The Happy Fits.
